- First go to the control panel
- Double-click on User Accounts
- Click on "Change the way users log on or off"
- Now uncheck "Use the Welcome Screen" (note: this will also disable "Fast User Switching")
- Click on Apply Options
- Close the User Accounts window and the Control Panel
- From the next reboot you should see the classic login prompt
