continues file copy even closing laptop lid (xp)

First of all we need to make some changes in control panel to do this, because we all know normally when you close laptop lid (screen) it goes for sleep mode, we need to stop this for continues file copy, to do this follow these steps.

  • Go to control panel 
  • Double click "power option"
  • Click advanced

  • Now under "power buttons" section, you can see "when i close the lid of my portable computer"
  • In there drop down menu select "do nothing"
  • Click apply and OK
Now copy some large files to network drive or external hard disk & close laptop lid, note that laptop isn't go for sleep mode, it just continue with the work. now you can copy files, encode movies, copy DVD & Cd's , download torrents without go in to sleep mode.

how to solve "invalid operating system" error

While you installing windows xp , after text portion of setup completes you need to restart pc, to go in to graphical user interface (GUI) setup. but when you restart pc after completes text portion of setup and booting from hard disk you notice "invalid operating system" error occurs and you cant proceed with the installation. no matter how many times you start all over again problem still occurs.

This can happen because of hard disk contains invalid master boot record. to fixed this issue you have to rewrite MBR code to hard disk. after you you write new MBR code no more errors, you can complete windows xp installation process.

view hidden devices in the "device manager"

There can be no of hidden devices ( installed in the earlier time) under device manager. you can view these items and remove if some problem occur. we strongly recommend don't delete these devices for fun, you have to know what you are doing, then you can delete if you really wanted to. follow these steps.
  • Right click on my computer
  • Click manage to open computer management console
  • In the left side under "system tools" click on device manager
  • Now in the view menu click on hidden devices to show these devices.

foxconn motherboard driver installation

are you using foxconn motherboard? then this news is for you, when you install motherboard drivers first you must install chipset drivers, after installation complete then you must restart computer (dont just click restart later and continue with other driver installation)

i,m gonna tell you if you dont restart your pc and continue with other installation, your sound driver wont work, after that there is no way to resolve the issue, the only solution is reinstallation of windows, so dont get lazy, follow the correct order and save your valuble time.
